About the Chancellor’s Circle

Chancellor’s Circle donors like you make annual grants possible for UAMS’ highest priorities: supporting innovative research, advancing patient care, and strengthening education across Arkansas. The impact of your support will be felt for years to come.
The Chancellor’s Circle is the premier annual giving society for the entire UAMS system. With an annual gift of $2,000, you join a group of dedicated philanthropists who collectively provide critical funding for programs in clinical care, education, and research.
Chancellor C. Lowry Barnes, M.D., distributes these funds through competitive grants that address UAMS’ highest priorities. Because of you, these investments can help attract distinguished scholars, purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment, and advance research that strengthens the health of Arkansans.
Since its inception in 1984, generous donors have contributed more than $10 million to support the UAMS mission.
We are grateful to our Chancellor’s Circle partners whose generosity empowers us to improve the health of communities we serve.
A Message from the Chancellor

We are grateful for your generosity as these funds have a tremendous impact on the lives of the people of our state.

Chancellor’s Circle Grants
Through annual and lifetime memberships, donors are providing vital funding for the Chancellor to use for supporting important projects and programs across the institution. Each year, UAMS faculty and staff have the opportunity to apply for this funding through the Chancellor’s Circle Grant Application process. More than $4 million in grant funding has been awarded to applicants since 2014 when the grants were started.
